Advanced Hitting
Hips, Shoulders, Front Arm, Hands - Kinetic Chain
Our advanced hitting development program will help improve power, barrel control, swing plane, increase hand and bat speed, create a short and powerful swing, and hit the ball harder and farther.
The program is designed and customized to help players train smarter and provide data-driven objective swing information.
Our Hitting Program enables us to capture and analyze what happens during the swing, how the body is moving, and the outcome.
Improvement must be on-going and collaborative to maximize a player’s development. Our hitting development program starts with an assessment to establish a player’s benchmark.
We use the most advanced swing analyzer technology to capture the players hitting metrics and video analysis to identify and customize a training program that meets the player’s individual needs. Our coaches have the ability to analyze every off-season, in-season, practice, and in-game swing and provide valuable insight on how to take your game to the next level. We have captured over 1 million swings in our system.
Our hitting assessment will provide a comprehensive hitting report that consists of the following metrics:
3D Motion Data Technology allows us to precisely measure and understands how a player's body moves, sequences, and creates speed and power. The use of biofeedback training teaches efficient movement so that hitters can successfully create and transfer energy through the kinetic chain (through their body), to the bat, and to the ball.
3D Motion Data Technology provides a comprehensive report that consists of the following metrics:
Peak speed sequence is the order in which the pelvis, torso, lead arm, and hand/bat reach their peak angular velocities. Good sequencing generally leads to better energy transfer, which leads to later committal to the ball and better decision making. This allows adjustability in the swing. Poor sequencing leads to early comital to the ball and limited adjustability in the swing. It also limits the amount of energy a player transfers to the ball.
Peak speeds indicate the maximum amount of speed created by each body segment. If a segment earlier in the chain underworks, other segments later in the chain generally overwork to compensate. For example, if the pelvis is slow, then the torso or lead arm or hands have to work to catch up or generate bat speed.
Time to contact measures the amount of time from the first move of the hands in a positive direction (towards the plate) to contact. It is measured in milliseconds. Milliseconds are everything. 30 milliseconds is approximately 5 feet of ball flight on a 90mph fastball. Becoming more efficient allows for better decision-making, reduces chase rate and swing miss, and increases the hard-hit average.
Rotation is the number of degrees that the pelvis and upper body rotate around the player. Separation is created by rotating the upper body more than the pelvis. This creates a stretch that is a source of speed.
Bend is the amount of forward bend of the pelvis and upper body. Holding correct bend posture is a major key to an excellent bat path and important for maintaining the arc of the swing
Side bend is the amount of tilt of the pelvis and upper body to the left or the right of the player. Proper side- bend is important for maintaining the arc of the swing.
We can capture and measure key data metrics using the latest camera and radar technology that measures and analzes all possible data points of a batted ball in flight.
We can display key performance metrics allowing the players to make the necessary adjustments to your swing repo after rep.
We can record and catalog all swings with all corresponding data.
Our hitting training program is data-driven and provides measurable results. Our coaches have the ability to analyze every off-season, in-season, practice, and game swing and provide valuable insight on how to take your game to the next level.
Our hitting development program starts with an assessment to establish a player’s benchmark. We use the most advanced swing analyzer technology to capture the players hitting metrics, video analysis, and provide a comprehensive hitting player profile report.
We customize a training program that meets the player’s individual needs. Coaches plan and manage each player’s training plan. How-to-Videos are included for most drills and exercises.
Coaches and players can communicate effectively and track progress through an online training platform.
Not all swing issues are due to poor hitting mechanics. We also provide strength and mobility training plans to get our players to become stronger and faster.
Players will be held accountable to complete their daily workouts by using the online training program.
Player development does not stop after our initial assessment and training program. We continue to monitor player progress, reassess, provide data-driven progress reports, and update the training plan.
